Marvin is mixed-race and grew up in Bristol’s poorer neighbourhoods. Having experienced poverty and racism, he wants to shape the society he lives in and runs for mayor.
His personal journey is connected to the city’s dark past of slavery, civil rights in the UK and riots.
Failure and a deep inner struggle leads, eventually to a profound transformation life – after becoming the first elected mayor of African descent to lead a city in a Western Europe.
