Roy’s ascension to the Ancestors marks a huge loss for his loving family and admiring community. It will be a big loss also for our city – since he was, as many commentators have said – ‘a Legend’.
He was a real Bristolian – which means a rebellious spirit and standing up for what you believe in – and a proud Jamaican – which doubles up on that same theme.
